Today you are talking about media covering our issues. There's a need for must improvement. When BET first started it had a news round table of current events and show like Bev Smith. Bob Johnson totally dismissed these formats. I think he is the real sell out.

I believe we spend too much time on hoping and wishing someone of power come and save us. When we really know we must save ourselves.

Warren I have written CNN, CSPAN, BET and TVOne. Yes there is a imbalance even on our network. These is a great need for a new network a nation news network for us.

It was a shame when James Brown was not covered live on BET or TVOne. It was CNN. When the Million Man March happen it was CSPAN and not BET or TVOne.

The problem is us Warren. We don't support us. I when to Radio One station in Richmond for the protest against the N , B and H word. There was no one there. I felt like a fool.

The problem locally your radio show is not advertised. I didn't no Mycheal Eric Dyson had a show.

On the Issue of missing children. Instead of playing the same tired commercials have a informercial for the missing children and direct people to a web site where they could see these children.

I would like to see CNN do a 10 min informercial thru out the day on the missing in our country and change it every month or as needed. Regardless of race.

So my suggestion is to use what we have and build on that.

1. You Warren could do the informercial regardless of race
and sociall economical background.

2. You need less commercial breaks. Suggest to the
listeners to buy radio one shares.

3. Radio One or someone needs to have dailynews and
on the spot reporting everyday.

4. Radio One needs to boost the power of the radio
stations. Maybe they would get more support if they
quit acting ghetto thereselves by having a real signal for
relivent talk radio.

5. We must reward positive people in the community that
we don't know. People of all ages and colors. We the
black community must remember that we didn't do it
alone. That how you will get more listeners Warren.

6. We need to have a Keep It In Check List.

People who claim they are going to do this and that see if they really did it and if not why?

7. we need to promote a drug treatment plan in our communities. maybe start a campaign for the treatments for poor folk who says they're tired and they want to kick the habit.

8. watchdog groups we should have a network of people to monitor Rush, Imus, Nancy Grace, Fox Network etc. . . to put them in check and counter them

9. We need to Cleanup these following groups, NAACP, Urban League, Churches, Masons and Fraturnities and Sorieties. Some of our own organizations have billions of dollars and do nothing to uplift our people. It a shames!!!!!!

10. When you have a protest like Katrina why not have a listing for those who would like to paticipate and have buses all over the nation to join you? Organization it Key. If people couldn't get to New Orleans why not have a march in D.C. during the protest in New Orleans.

If the politicians and all those who care for them would stop the legalization of the illegal women kids that are born here. If you are illegal there is NO way you should be able to come here have babies and now the mother and the kids live off our tax dollars. I suggest that if your illegal and come here and have kids,the day that the hospital releases them they should be deported immediatley.

I am happy to hear you speak about dating and dieting. I am current a larger woman. I am down to a sized 14/16 from a 22/24.
I met a guy and we initially became friends as I was already in a relationship. Since that time I am out of the prior relationship and we have been seeing each other. I remember intitially when we met her asked that I hook him up with someone. I asked his type and he stated that he really did not have one. Listen to your show each and everyday. I live in atlanta and my radio stays tuned to the most positive radio station in america 102.5. Each segment has great uplifting messages in them. I have a something to ask you. Why do you talk about athletes giving back? Most of them are required by the nfl to do charity work. Mike Vick did a lot for the city of atlanta, t.i. passed out school supplies to needy kids in atlanta. No one spoke of that. The black nation as a whole need to scale down a bit, and take a look at the average and above average black man that continues to fail the black community. Wheter it is leaving a mother with a kid that he concieved with her, looking down on a young kid who does not know the true way to be a man, getting his money and moving in the wihite neighborhood to prove that he is not like the other black people. Black Men NEED to STEP UP we can turn this crisis around. Help A Brother In Need of some Gudiance should be our slogan, because we threw each one teach one away a long time ago. Good morning Warren, love your show but I disagree with this particular view. I believe a person can receive a positive message, and be inspired to take action anywhere including the club. Just as in the opposite I've heard people say they went to church, they were turned off by a certain experience that they had, and that experience changed their minds about continuing to attend church. A spark in a club for Jesus can turn into a flame and this may cause a person to go to church and get saved. On the other hand if you are a christian, and you go to the club, do you think you can say to Jesus " I'm going in the club Jesus, wait for me outside" no, Jesus is everywhere and when I heard " Jesus Walk with me" by Kanye West, the first time I was so happy that it now seems to be popular to walk with Jesus and more of our youth are being exposed to this through the music of their peers.

I am writing about the sagging pants and my uncle is 75 he said "some men in his day wore sagging pants" he was raised in georgia he gave me an example of a man who shined shoes and his butt and draws were showing. Our history is so unknown about what we have done we need to understand alot of things going on is past history in modern day. I read 40 million dollar slave by William Rohen and did not know all those things we did in sports.

No longer can Christians be in the mindset of "my 4 and no more" huddled up in church thinking only the deserving should be saved, because "everyone falls short of the glory of GOD. Christians pray "Thy Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven" well what do we really think of, when we think of heaven, other than the pearly gates, the streets of gold, and the mansions. Don't we think of being able to walk around with others who know and love GOD ? Spreading the Word outside the church is a way to for that to begin to happen on earth, maybe if more people were influenced by Jesus we wouldn't have to leave Church on Sunday and catch hell for the rest of the week.

I listen to your show everyday and never miss a day. I like the fact that you allow our people to agree or disagree with any topic. The topic today was about the young generation wearing their clothes down over their butts and they was thinking about making it a law that kids should wear their clothes up on their behinds…. Sir, thats a good law to put in place. But, I wouldn't lock them up, what I would do is make the parents be responsble for their kids behavior. Everytime they come to school with their clothes down, send them back home. If they have more than, a certain amount of absences, they will have to repeat that grade. I don't think teachers should have to waste other students time, with them getting a education on wasteing time with students, that's really not trying to get and education.
Also, its a lot of free education program out here now. Its also a lot of open library that are not being used by the students. Also, there are a lot of teachers that stay after school for free to help children with the help that they need in social studies, math,reading and whatever…
We need to really look at putting some of the issues we are haveing with our black familes, back on our black families. I can talk about a lot of issues that go on today, but my voice will never get heard. Why, because all what people want to hear about now days, are about the stars.
Let me give a little about my back ground. You always keep it real on your show. I have 8 kids, I had my first child at the age of 15. I had 3 kids before I ever got out of highschool. I am a 2 time convicted felon. I did whatever I had todo to take care of the kids I produce. I went back to college in 1996, work fulltime all while in school, gave 75% of the money I made to my kids mothers. I graduated with the class of 2001, at the age of 32. I did what was needed to stay on the streets of Atlanta and take care of my kids. I now have 3 kids out of highschool and 5 more working very hard to make me proud. But, I work 2 fulltime jobs and been doing so, since 2001.
Sir, I can talk all day, but we need to get the parents involved with their children wearing the clothes off of there butts….. And quit calling it racial profiling….

I have been listening to your radio show for about two weeks now on 102.5 Atlanta, and the more I listen the more I like. You discuss many black issues that warrant discussion over the airwaves, and I commend you for that. I’m from Atlanta, so as you know the major issue that has been discussed here as well as nationally has been the Michael Vick case. Now not arguing right or wrong for as we know he has plead guilty for committing or having involvement in some crimes that he has been accused of. However, the local news reported that despite Vick accepting a plea deal that the prosecutors might still press more charges. I personally feel that this case was a manhunt from the start, and will continue to be until the prosecutors get exactly what they want, whatever that is. This however is not the issue of my letter. I just read that Lindsay Lohan will only receive 1 day of jail time and probation despite having been arrested two times for DUI(under the influence of alcohol and cocaine). Maybe it is just me, but does “justice” only exist in certain states or is this just another example of how the legal system is different based on your race? While I haven’t been keeping up as closely with this story, but I do wonder if driving under the influence is still an important issue in America? Or is it less of a crime when a white female perpetrates it. I just wanted your thoughts on the matter.

The "Sagging Pants" proposal in Atlanta is part and parcel to the gentrification of the city. FOLLOW THE MONEY!

I work in Real Estate and have seen first hand the transition.

In the 70's white people left the city in droves and now their children are coming back. Our young people that are adrift in the city are affecting their property values and therefore are a liability.

This issue could be solved tomorrow by parents inacting rules in their households and saying what is and is not acceptable in the homes. Buy "Lil' Man" a damn belt and make sure he wears it! And stop buying them or allowing them to wear these clothes! PARENTAL ACCOUNTABILITY! It's unforunate but, PERCEPTION IS REALITY! If the public at large and the media do not show accurate depictions of our communites and perceive them to fit certain sterotypes then that is THEIR relaity! GOOD OR BAD! As soon as one of these kids get snatched off the street and thrown into jail they are going to be calling for NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Warren Bellentine to come help Lil' Man get out!
The property within Atlanta is very valuable and they want to capitalize on it. They have turned housing projects into Condos and homes that had fallen into disrepair have been purchased by the zip code and been gone from 50K to 400K

I listen to your show often and call in when I can. I wanted to comment on Michael Vicks' situation. I am saddened by the situation this young man finds himself in. Are we not all
humans, do we not make mistakes? I just think that the double standards of our laws, constitution, a legal system is
just ridiculous!! Every day, it's one "in your face" tactic after another. I was watching the news the other day and they were doing a story on one of the "Barbie Bandits". Isn't that cute? "Barbie Bandits"-blonde hair and blue eyes
on television crying big tears. This story is of two white girls
wearing sun glasses and robbing a bank. Did they do it? Yes, the cameras were rolling. Warren, if you get a chance
please look into this story just to see the inequities of our system. My point here is did they see Michael Vick do anything at anytime to a dog? Were the cameras rolling? If not, why are they persecuting this man so severely. It's a money issue. In our society, everytime black person makes a substantial amount of money, there's a white person somewhere feeling like that money is coming out of their pockets. I truly cannot believe the level of ignorance
in our society in 2007(on everybody's part).
Hopefully, we will stand by Michael and not let him be taken
down over dogs. Let's see…human/dog…it's a no brainer.
Understand that I do not condone cruelty to animals no more than I condone unjust practices towards humans.

First let me say I totally enjoy your show. Unfortunately I usually only get to hear about half of it during my lunch break at work.

Now, on to my "comment". Who in the world is "Dr." James David Manning think he is? You recently had this brother on your show; he was speaking out against "false" prophets, "pimps" in the pulpit and other "charlatans" hiding in plain sight on the pulpits around the country, indeed around the world. His comments piqued my interest; I kept repeating his website to myself so as not to forget it and to explore who was "listed" on the site and to reveiw his comments on these individuals as soon as I could get back to my computer. Oh boy!!! What I came across was basically a sea of hypocrisy.

I do agree that many of the "ministers", "pastors" and so called "bishop - doctors" listed on the site are snake oil salesman draped in robes of "glory"; however I feel after listening to the good brother that he should try listening to himself and possibly even add himself to his OWN LIST. I do not see any distinction between him and "them". His rhetoric does not truly jive with his raves against any of those listed.

What's different? He basically has the same platform, the same format and even the same mannerisms and message as those so called "sugar daddies" and "sugar babies" (HIS terminology from HIS podcast). the derogotory message is so hate filled and misleading that it takes away from any positive information or eye opening message that is there!

An example; he makes a claim that Billy Graham (yep the spiritual "guide" of just about every President since LBJ or dare I even say Eisenhower - I skipped Kennedy because he was Catholic) that Dwight D. had "banned" Graham from the White House. Okay, back the claim up - give dates, give times, quote your sources! In one of his introductions "Dr." Manning mentions the intervention of two "angels" playing chess in Prospect Park (Brooklyn, NY) and being advised to speak "good words"; Mr. Ballentine - I didn't hear any "good words" coming from this preachers mouth!

I can't say that I am a "bible thumping" Christian; although I was brought up in a strong Christian based community and home (Pentecostal - Church Of God In Christ - COGIC) and both of my parents are ministers. I personally have been exposed to other cultures and belief systems that lead me to believe that John 10:16 ("…I have other sheep…") really speaks to the people of today. Even as a small child going to Church some times (especially in deep RURAL South Alabama - where I'm from) 3 and 4 times a week, I wondered how there could be so many people in the world and one belief system. How could there be so many different denominations? While my father was stationed in Germany (I was only a teen) I met so many people from all over the world - that believed in GOD - yet didn't "worship" as I did. Soon, I found out that there really was only ONE way to be CHRIST - like and that was through love and understanding.

Has this "salty" brother given any thought to the persuasive power of a message of "love". Try telling your fellow "ministers" in love that they are misguided, try pulling those men that you call "fag***s in the pulpit" to the side and get an understanding of rather or not they truly are dancing because of a "spiritual episode" (if you will) or "faking it".

In my humble opinion acting like a pompous donkeys' behind does not make Dr. Mannings' message any stronger - does not separate him from the herd, or even make his "voice" any louder.

WAIT - hold the presses…He has REPENTED!!! I just listened to his "repent" message or "line"…it was more of a rant against "gentrification" in Harlem - NO DEW NOR RAIN… and then it went to an anti-Martin Luther (The Reformer) comment. Okay, so he will no longer use "pimp" or "madam"…Riiiiiight…But, he claims that Joyce Meyer is an abused woman…"Show me" is all I have to say on that one…Sir, thank you for your time. I now have to turn my attention to the young lady (Hallelujah is her name) soliciting for donations to the good Reverends' school, honestly I have no problem with the school - that's a good thing; just tell me she didn't just call Egypt the home of "HAM" our figurative "father"…Good Lord everybody knows that is a biblical misinterpertation (myth if you will) used for centuries to justify slavery…WOW!!!

I have to reply to the "support Mike Vick Club". I too live in Atlanta and I am a moderate fan of football and the Falcons; however there is no defending Mike's actions (in my opinion). Let's look at where we are - this is the US of A home of some of the most hypocritical laws ever devised. Let's look at Mr. Vick, an extraordinary athlete and a MULTI-millionaire in every right. A man that is totally AWARE of the laws governing his profession - first, his contract obligations and his personal activities (if he is not aware - I guarantee you that his LAWYER and AGENT are).

Let's be honest, here in the ATL we know (cause the local news would have it no other way) that Mike has been on a "slippery slope" for some time now; from the "finger" incident after a Falcons loss to the "water bottle" mess earlier in the year.

So a couple of things come to mind with this dog "thing" - it's ILLEGAL first of all and is classified as a felony. Any body involved in this activity is aware of the consequences from the START. This is why it is a very secretive activity, this is why the house where this allegedly took place was set up the way it was.

I truly believe that this brother is doing the right thing (finally) by coming forth and taking the heat. I believe that Warren touched on something last week with the "I'll give myself to protect others" point that he made on his show. However we as a people can not say that he is being "dogged-out" (yep pun intended) by the media - we already KNOW how this system works!!! As Black Americans we have ALWAYS known that no matter how HIGH up there you get - the racist and biased masses of this country have their collective "eye" on you. If "they" say run fast to succeed we know we must run FASTER, if "they" say a "C" will get you through a certain course of study that we MUST have all "A's" to pass with out reproach. Nothing has changed for the so-called "Hip-Hop" generation - in fact it has gotten tougher.

So when one is a "STAR" athlete with property in a small southern area (or large one for that matter) you best believe that some one is WATCHING. I say all that to say this - HE KNEW BETTER…Yes - it's just dogs - HOWEVER it's just the LAW…To me it's not about the dogs, I could care less about those animals - it's about being aware of the law…and protecting one's self - especially when you have the "means" to do so.

…and lastly the NAACP - oh my lawd!!! What??? I have never been so embarrassed in my life (that televised mess of an announcement - they should've been the first responders down in JENA, LA). You're on TV pleading for Mike's job - plead for him to come on TV and apologize for how this "appears" to that 12 year old kid that idolizes him, who's father bought him Mike's number 7 jersey ( at about $100 a pop) or to that BLACK sports fan that can't believe that now some 30 years after the first black quarterback made it in the NFL (defying all the doubters about our mental tenacity and cognitive skills during the course of a game) - that this one has set the progress and legacy back - not by his play on the field, but by his actions off of it!!!

Well, with that being said…Peace to all, continued prayers for Mike, his family and all that are touched one way or another by this…Mr. Balletine, most of all thank you for this site - continued success.

First of all keep doing what you do. I am so upset with the Vick situation that I don't even know where to begin. All I can say is BLACK people wake up. If you don't know by now I can't tell ya. I don't know what was up with VICK's legal team but once he told Blank's and that "GRAND WIZARD" Roger Goodell he didn't have anything to do with it, he should have rode it out.
I will not support the NFL , Atlanta Falcons, or Nike in anyway shape or form. I've destroyed years of falcon's items ie..jackets, jewerly, clothes etc… and am currently working on the season tickets.I will not watch the NFL on TV or Listen on the radio. If we as black peoples sit back and don't act on this, then I feel we are still losing this racial (JIM CROW) battle(game over) our kids are in trouble. It's odd that when this story first aired DMX video was shown with the pitbulls and DMX's home was raided looking for pitbulls after VICK was suspended.???? Last I heard the pitbull taken from VICK's home are being killed so what's the purpose. Pitbull's victums that are kill or attacks never gets this kind of coverage. I bet every black person that was against VICK regrets it now because the punishment doesn't fit the crime. And for everyone that say's he was stupid, let he/she who has not done something stupid cast the first stone. This child was snatched up and given all this money before he matured like most of our black players because they could make massa plenty of money. We all grew up in different circumstances so don't judge him. Vick is paying for Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, Pacman Jones, etcc..and because every sport that blacks take participate in we dominate it ie…Barry Bond, Tiger Woods, Micahel Jordan, the Williams twins. Enough I can go on for days.
last but not forgotten , I don't agree with pants hanging off your butt but this new law targeted our youth to get reasons to approach your kids and go from there. Vick's cousin and "friends" is why there's a stop snitching rule among theive's. The case was built solely off their statements (Wille Lynch). People the Civil rights moment and Jim Crow wasn't that long ago so a white person that is 50 years old or more remembers it well so why don't you.

Good brother these comments are not meant to offend but to inform. Please, please , please Brother lighten up on the "I's", "me's", and "my's". I know it's your show but you shouldn't take that literally. Your callers will (given a chance to express and DEVELOP their point(s) without your butting in), make or brake your show. I am an avid radio talk show listener and waited a long time to hear a station prsent the Black perspective. I listen to 102.5 in ATL daily and all day. from morning to 7pm. Please don't turn me off to the a.m. portion.

Mr.Ballentine I have been enjoying listening to your show from work and the different topics you've been covering, especially the ones that directly effect the black community, which most of your topics do.
I have two comments I wanted to make since last week
but I was so busy I counld'nt get on line to make them.
The Jena 6 situation. Now I agree that any child whether
black, white, blue or whatever should be able to stand under a tree. Now I am a black man and this is just my
opinion but that young man in question went asking for trouble. you know and I know that in certain places especially places like Mississippi and Louisiana there is still thick tension between blacks and whites so I'm trying to understand why this boy couldnt just leave well enough alone,. Was that the only tree around the whole school or even in Jena for that matter to stand under??
In my opinion that young boy knew there was gonna be
a problem going under that tree and he must have known
that it would possibly initiate something, thats why he went
to get permission from the principle to stand under it.
These children today think they are so slick.. I'm even
reluctant to believe that the teacher even said something
as silly sounding as I could end you with the strike of this pen. not to say that it wasn't said but children have a way
of putting their spin on something when their in trouble
none of us were there so we're relying on these kids words..
Now the one thing that definitely agree on is those young
white teens absolutely lost their minds and went way too
far by hanging those dummies in the tree which definitely
sparked up more tension, but does that justify those blacks
putting their hands on those white kids I really don't
think so.. It all goes back to what I alway say and that is
our black children are just angry and violent. instead of them
taking the problem to their parents,principle or even the proper authorities they took matters in their own hands and
now look at this big mess. I am only commenting off of the

told as of yet. BUT I WILL SAY THIS.
that until we as blacks unitedly decide that enough is enough and we join hands and decide to come

and while we were riding the train
some young black teens got on maybe sixteen years and younger and their mouths were so dirty with such filthy talk
that it was worse than most adults that I know and the whites that were on the train were looking around like unbelievable.. me and my wife just shook our heads.
You had a segment on dealing with the law they're trying
to past about saggy pants You asked the question why should the government be able to tell our children how
to dress.. Well I have that answer but first let me tell you
that I am in favor of that law and I hope it will be passed,
and in answer to that question is because our black parents
are not training these children,one of your callers said it best
babies cant train babies sadly most grandparents are the ones having to raise these children. Lets be real about this
most of the young black children I see today as well as many

want to work, they have no motivation and no I don't want

My cousin has a daughter who lives with her mother who has 3 other children (not his) she is homeless living from place to place now she is living in an abandon building. What can he do? He asked the mother to let him get his daughter until she gets herself together she said no. He do not want to take his child from the mother but he do want to see his daughter in a stable environment. Can you assist in any way?

I really pissed off that no BLACK ENTERTAINERS or BLACK ATHLETES showed up for this important event. Im a 30 yr old Black male and I'm ashamed that my generation of so-called stars are such cowards that won't stand up for anything. I work in white corporate America and my White co-workers have completely forgot about Katrina and that the struggle still exist. My husband has worked very hard to accomplish what we have. He worked 18 hours a day to earn money to open a trucking company back in 1996. He started with one truck and he drove over the road for five years. During the five years we managed to lease 9 more trucks. He did this to create jobs for people who needed second chance because, the Lord put it on his heart to help others.

In 2004 the Fed's came to our home and arrested my husband. Two of our drivers were caught hauling marajuani and they blamed my husband. My husband was found guility in court by an all white jury. There were no other witnesses. The Agent was only on the stand for 5 minutes and he did not have any thing connecting my husband with this case. The attorney who is a top attorney did not represent my husband properly. He could have had an evidentually hearing and possibility had the case dismissed. We are senior citizens trying to help people and my husband is innocent. The Plantiffs were given time cuts for testifying. One received immunity the other who had a drug history received 3 years instead of 6years. My husband was sentenced to twelve years. I am his wife I am sixtytwo with breast cancer and diabetes. Praise God the doctors found the cancer in time.

Mr. Ballentine my husband was treated unjustly. His case only lasted one day. My husband had three witnesses. One driver was a key witness because he was approched by one of the drivers and asked if he wanted to make some extra money but don't tell my husband because they have to use my husbands trucks. We also had another witness who saw both drivers eating togeather out on the road.
The attorney said he didn't want to use these witnesses because, they had prior criminal records. We asked him over and over to use the witnesses but he choose not to and my husband lost the case. He didn't object to an all white jury nor did he file any motions trying to dismissed this case because of lack of evidence. I feel that my husband was done unjustly and we can loose everything he worked so hard to acheive. He did not take a plea because he wasn't going to plead to something he did not do. I have more to discuss with you but if I can talk to you in regards to how this can be exposed. I know there isn't anything that can be done for my husband now that he has been found guilty but, please call or write me we need your help! Hi warren I miss u on the v103 show. I need help an I dont know what to do. I hurt my back on my job an I did everything that I was suppose too with the doctors. The ending results were back surgery. Ive had 2 lawyers but there not making anything happen. The physical Therapy place said that there isnt anything that they can do for me and the doctor needs to do something different for me but he only released me back to work and said that he cant do anything else for me.Workmans comp said that I can go and get a second opinion from another doctor so I made an apointment for a specialist. I return back to work on 9/3/07 and Im suppose to be night shift but the job is placing me on 1st shift so they can watch me. Warren that doctor messed me up and Im in no condition to return at this time and I know the doctor knows that too, they say I cant use sttd either, so I know that there only setting me up for fireing me because they know and I know I cant do the work. Warren, I just got through watching a special presentation on the "Word Network". It featured Kirk Franklin; As I watched the program I could'nt help but remember the show that you did recently on gospel music in the club. I'm a young man, but I could not tell the difference between what goes on in the club, and what I witnessed on the broadcast. There was Kirk hip- hopping accross the stage mouthing the words of the songs, not singing a single note. I feel that they were making a mockery of the Gospel music greats, such as James Cleveland, Charles Nicks, Mattie Moss Clark etc. The audience danced and pranced around like they were at St. Andrews Hall here in Detroit. Truly jacked up!!! I stated earlier that I'm a young Man barely in my thirties, but I would not conduct myself like what I had observed on the Word Network on Friday night. My grandbaby's mother is being charged with assault to her child. Both times this case was reported to DCFS. The first case was unfounded. The second case is pending. Mother went to Hospital with damage to baby head after receiving baby back from Father. The DCFS Social worker and the Detective believed his story and unfounded the case. Two weeks later while mother at was work again, after getting the baby back, when she went to change her diaper 1/2 hour later she so more bruises. The police and every body was immediately called. And she took the baby back to the hospital. Now the DCFS work and the Detective involved is feeling pretty silly especially due to the high volume of death cases taking place in the recent month. The mother gladly consented to a lie detector test because she had nothing to hide. They use this event to try to trip her up and hold her for 72 hours and now she is Cook County jail with a $32,000.00 bond with a charge of assault to the baby. Now any and everyone can testify that know her Ashana Brown is never the type that would hurt her baby. I heard you speak at our church, St. Mark Cathedral (Bishop Jordan) and also know your Aunt Releatha Ballentine who took care of my Mom until her demise. Dear Mr. Ballentine How long will the justice system fail black communities, for example, Michael in Gena, Mississippi who has been indicted for a school yard fight that was provoked by white students putting up a noose on a tree with a black baby doll hanging from it. The white students also brought a gun to school that provoked a fight. Micheal a black student gets indicted and faces 20 years or more, and the white students gets nothing. Today in Marietta, Georgia Mrs Sharon Chandler was in despair talking on the news about her son getting a 10 day suspension from a Marietta high school for having a utility knife in his car on school property. Is that what they do to all cars on school property now?

I do not agree you go asking for trouble when it comes to a tree on school property.It was not the white students private property. Talking about black teens being disrespectful in showing their underwear under their pants, what about porno magazines staring children and adults in the face in the convient store at your gas stations for children to look at. Also there is sex in commercials, and violence in cartoons,and sex and cursing in movies. I would agree if the government would straigthen out this as well. In addition, I do not agree with blacks not wanting to work; where are the jobs? Most jobs you seek even when you finish college you cannot find, or you have to have so many years of experience. Do we have to bark like dogs to get justice because people are losing their livelihood for violating dogs. Where is the justice for black teens trying to make something of themselves, and being put in jail for things that don't make no sense.

Good morning, this is reference to Jena 6…I have a bad feeling that the unjustice system will move up or delay Mychel Bell sentence hearing…It makes me extremely sick to hear that we American are going back to Jim Crow area and I listening to your show everyday on 102.5 ATL GA..I believe it's punishment of our youth because kids these days they want to go to College and not the military..It was only a couple of choices that someone could choose from when I graduated from high school…Most of the people stuck over there in the Middle East in the service are white..I visited there twice last year…33% drop in enlistment in Armed Forces. I have been listening to you since you came on XM 169. While I don't agree with much of what you say, especially when it comes to religion other topics, we do agree on many other issues.

I listened to your 9/13/07 show and again was intrigued by some of the statements you made. I did not agree with them for the most part. The idea of boycotting BET as well as black exploitation. The problem I have with your show and many others is the fact that blame is often displaced. I tried to call in and could not get through but since I was behind my comp sending my weekly e-mail to my congresswoman I decided to write you with my descenting POV.

I agree that the proliferation of bad information through what-ever means the media is distributing such info is dangerous. However much of that danger depends on the disposition of the consumer of the information.

African Americans are being exploited yes, what else is new. Everyone is being exploited. The problem I see however is people using their television, computers, and whatever media outlets they can find, as babysitters. I've always held the opinion that if you don't like what you see, don't look at it because outlawing or even creating social taboos of some expressions is especially dangerous as well. The quips that are often made about bootie shaking, as well as the comments about the "..can you make it in porn" pay-per-view show and the question as to whether or not something like that should even be available. African Americans seem to want to boycott everything and the truth is, There has been a boycott on PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY in the African American community for years.

If parents would take the time to learn the technology they would find management of information into the home as well as their child's gadgets managable. Most parents do don't that. Net nanny has been around for over a decade, setting up servers in your own home is easier than ever so that you can see where your child is browsing on the web without standing over his shoulder and block it without even having to enter the child's room. Also most modern televisions have parental codes How many parents are taking the time to learn to use them. Absence a television in the child's room I think is paramount. When I was growing up my mother never myself nor my brother and two sisters to have a television in our bedroom. Now that I'm a grown man, I don't have a television in my bedroom nor my study. I keep it in the living room and I barely watch it. 2 hours a week is my average. I prefer books and am a junkie when it comes to novels. The point is parents should NOT be blaming BET or anyone else for that manner for what their kids are injesting. They have incredible control over what information comes in and out of the home and if they would just grab the bull by the horns and use what's available then much of this can be solved.
